Hello, I'm Christian Lockyer, a Somerset-based celebrant and event host creating warm, witty and wonderfully personal ceremonies for couples, families, loved ones and communities.

For more than 25 years, I've been helping people tell their stories. As a journalist, communications professional and public speaker, storytelling has always been at the heart of what I do. I love getting to know people, discovering what matters most to them and finding the words that bring their stories to life.

For years, I thought about becoming a celebrant. I wanted a way to combine my passion for storytelling, my love of writing and my experience speaking in front of audiences. The turning point came after the sudden death of a close friend.

When I was asked to speak at his funeral, I found myself doing what I've always done best – telling a story that connected with people. By the end, a packed church had laughed, cried and remembered a remarkable life. It reminded me how powerful the right words can be and reignited my ambition to become a celebrant.

Today, I have the privilege of helping people mark life's most important moments. Whether it's a wedding, funeral, naming ceremony, vow renewal, awards evening or community event, every ceremony I create is completely personal, thoughtfully written and delivered with warmth, humour and heart.

My experience in journalism, theatre, public speaking, live events and broadcasting means I'm completely at ease in front of an audience, helping every ceremony feel relaxed, natural and engaging. Whether I'm speaking to a handful of guests or a packed room, my aim is always the same: to make people feel something and to create moments they'll remember.

I believe the best ceremonies aren't just heard – they're remembered long after the day itself.
